Potomac Alumnae Chapter (PAC) of Alpha Gamma Delta
Since our founding in 1904 by 11 pioneering women, Alpha Gamma Delta (AGD) has grown to be an international organization with 198 collegiate and over 250 alumnae chapters, clubs and junior circles. We have initiated about 190,000 sisters, about 13,000 are still undergrads and the rest are alumnae. Sisterhood is a life-time joy. AGD has been and continues to be a trailblazer in the Greek world: the first Greek group organized with the full intention to be a national organization; the first NPC group to adopt a specific international philanthropy project; and the list goes on and on.

Being a collegiate member is just the beginning of Fraternity service and sharing sisterhood. You will be an alum many times longer. Come join us in exploring Alpha Gam as an alum. Meet fabulous new friends, make connections that might lead to a perfect career or a great new roommate or meeting someone's wonderful brother, explore ways to give back to the community, learn something new and interesting, join our marathon group, help our Adopt-A-Chapter (Zeta), or just have lots of fun. Exciting opportunities abound to suit alums of all ages, lifestyles, interests, and time availability.
Life is Better with Sisters
     The Alpha Gamma Delta Purpose

*To gain understanding that wisdom may be vouchsafed to me
* To develop and prize health and vigor of body
* To cultivate acquaintance with many whom I meet
* To cherish friendships with but a chosen Few and to study the
   perfecting of those Friendships
* To welcome the opportunity of contributing to the world's work in
the community where I am placed because of the joy of service
thereby bestowed and the talent of leadership multiplied
* To honor my home, my country, my religious faith
* To hold truth inviolable, sincerity essential, kindness invaluable
* To possess high ideals and to attain somewhat unto them

This shall be my PURPOSE that those who know me may esteem
ALPHA GAMMA DELTA for her attainments, revere her for her purposes and love her for her womanhood.

Did you know that women do not have to join Alpha Gamma Delta only during college? AGD seeks outstanding post-collegiate women in our communities and invites them to join our sisterhood. Women initiated as alumnae share the same rights, responsibilities and benefits as our members who initiated as collegians. Some of our local sisters are outstanding women who joined post-college and are very active, with two who have served as alumnae officers and one current officer has served for many years. If you are not already an Alpha Gam or an initiated member of any other National Panhellenic Organization, ask us how you might pledge the sisterhood as an alumnae initiate. Contact our Permanent Secretary or President for more information.

Supporting the AGD Potomac Alumnae Chapter (AGD-PAC)
Anyone interested in contributing time, items, ideas or funds to PAC's service events is encouraged to share with us the joy of service and sisterhood. Donations can be sent to PAC's Treasurer, Debbie Finch by mail or PayPal. You can contact her at purplefinchd@yahoo.com for mailing and PayPal directions. Annual support fees are $30 and since we do not have a collegiate chapter contributing funds to us, they are our only regular income. But you are welcome to come in any case, anytime, always our sister.
